Anyone else get nervous before scans?

I’m due my 20 wk scan next week and am starting to get the fear that something will be wrong. I know it’s irrational and my tests were low risk but even so.
I was like this before my 12 wk one too.
Anyone else or is it just me?

2 weeks leading up to 12 week scan were horrible. I've basically cried after each scan though have all been ok so far, so no it's not just you!

Before my 12 week i cried in the waiting room, before my 20 week i woke up at 6am and sobbed in bed. You're not alone!

Same!! i have a 12 week one next week and ive literally wished my life away for it!

CassandraLamontaigne · 04/08/2018 14:09

Yes I was so nervous before them all

I couldn't sleep the night before my 12 week scan as I was so scared. Had my anomaly scan last week and wasn't as bad that time but hardly sleep and I need to go back again next week as our lazy boy wouldn't wake up so couldn't complete all the measurements.

Ah I’m so glad I’m not insane Grin it’s just that ‘what if’ isn’t it?

Irrationality terrified this time. I was very blasé with DD. But after her i had a spontaneous misscarriage at 10 weeks followed by an ectopic. This time round i got a scan at 8 weeks. As soon as a lead down I screwed my eyes shut and held my breath and as soon as I walked into the room of bad news (as I call it because past 2 times in there has been a disaster) DH said he saw my guard completely come down. Luckily all was ok! But Got my 12 week one in just over a week and dreading it. That one a couple of weeks ago gave me no reassurance that all will be well this time.

I’m currently 28 weeks, have a scan book for a few weeks time and even though I can feel baby kicking away (currently at my ribs!) I still am petrified of the scan. I think it might be our brains way of getting us ready for a lifetime of worry 😂

Yes and after two missed miscarriages last year discovered at scans, I was a nervous wreck before all of the scans during this pregnancy. I couldn’t eat or think straight and was genuinely shaking before them. I’m so glad I don’t have to have any more!

I'm not due my first scan till the 3/9/18 I'm sooo nervous as a girl I know went to her 12w and she looked pregnant had all the symptoms but it was just an egg in her uterus!
I'm sooo scared now, got my booking in appointment Tuesday so will get to see midwife for the first time. It's my first baby and only my hubby and boss (had to tell as I had an aggressive patient #nurse life!) and a very close friend who guessed when I said i wasn't drinking and couldn't come up with a reason why fast enough 🙈.
Anyways super worried, keep doing test and still positive, sometimes the line doesn't looks as bright but thinking too much into it, also stuggling to eat well! Being super naughty and my husband keeps saying you need to eat better and I feel so bad! Xx

My previous pregnancy ended in a missed miscarriage that wasn't detected until my 12 week scan, so I've been a ball of nerves this pregnancy! I'm nine weeks gone and have already had two reassurance scans which both went well, but I almost had a panic attack before both!

@CobaltRose scary! Hope mine is fine 🤞🏼
