Has any one had a scan at 5+5 and seen anything?

I had a scan at 5+2 as had some bleeding. It’s a blob at that point, so you won’t see anything baby like at this stage, if you see what I mean. I also had to have an internal scan. In essence they can check for a heartbeat at that stage but they can’t do much more. I hope that helps

I think they can maybe see something from
an internal scan, but I know they recommend waiting until at least 6 weeks for a heartbeat etc.

Thanks currently sat waiting in the EPU. I had some intermittent pain on my left side over the last 2 weeks and after my booking appt this morning the midwife recommended I come and have a scan.

I'm a little nervous as I'm worried we won't see anything. But hopefully will calm my mind about ectopic pregnancy

I had a scan at 6 weeks because of bleeding. I was amazed to hear the heartbeat.

I had one at 5 and couldn't see absolutely anything and they told me it's likely to ectopic but I'm now 14+3. Please don't be worried if you don't see anything! In early pregnancy I think it's more important that your hcg levels are rising. Unless they're over 3000 I don't think you'd see much anyway. At least this is what someone told me when I was worrying! Fx everything goes well for you! Smile

Thanks ladies,

I've had the scan it's in the right place. We saw the gestational and yolk sac but nothing more. All looks to be normal and the pain has been put down to my uterus stretching so will have to grin and bear that!
But so relieved that it's not ectopic. Just a long wait to my 12 week scan now!

Think I might book an extra on at 8 weeks to try and see a heart beat.

Thanks again.
