I am currently 5 months pregnant and due to complicated auto immune disease will not be able to breast feed when baby is here due to post partum flare ups and medications. It's been a bit of an emotional subject but I am now at peace with the idea of formula feeding and have started doing a bit of research into the best bottles etc.
The problem I have is there seems to be SO many different types and fancy preparation gadgets that I'm not sure are with it or not?
What bottles have other people uses and has any got the Tommee Tippie perfect prep machine that people seem to rave about? Is it really that good?
Thanks!

Clearly I just need to pay more attention when I put them back together!

We have the perfect prep machine, it's amazing for night bottles - wish I had it for DS 5 years ago!

You could just clean it properly as per the instructions and then there wouldn't be a hygiene issue.

We tried ordinary medela bottles at first as they fit my breast pump, but he couldn’t get the hang of the teats. Much better when we switched to TT closer to nature. Can’t comment on how well they last really though as it’s only for occasional expressed feeds if I’m out for long periods, and he’s now 11m and will drink from a cup. They do sometimes have them cheap in B&M though.

I used loads of different ones but the ones he likes best were Tesco’s own ones! Cheap as chips and easy to clean.

I wouldn’t bother with a perfect prep by the way. It’s just as easy to make them yourself, I had one and I won’t be getting one again.
