Is it true that your second labour tends to be quicker than the first? Curious as I'm now 20 weeks with my second and I'm a little anxious about birth 🙈

Mine certainly was. I was induced both times but my first was about 22 hours and I needed the drip at 40+3.
Second labour at 39 weeks, they broke my waters and it only lasted 5-6 hours.
Good luck!!

Mine was, much and much easier and no intervention unlike first which was horrendous. Really prayed on my mind during second pregnancy

Mine was much quicker. 6 hours first labour. 3 for the second. Second was much much easier. But I think I was better prepared mentally for what was coming.

First time around I was terrified and said I wouldn't want to do it again. After my second labour I always honestly say I would do it again. Hypnobirthing saved the day for me.

Mine was quicker but i found it hurt more. First time I was pretty calm because i didn't know what it would be like. Second time I knew and was a bit more nervous about it, so maybe that made a difference.

I will have a 9 year age gap so I can't help feeling like it's my first again and my body has forgot that I have ever been pregnant before haha!

Following!
Dd's Labour was quick and easy and painless. Typically I know this one won't be....

My second one was much much faster, I had a call off my grandma asking if any sign of ds- nope not yet I'll keep you informed etc. I thought I might go another few days as his sister was 2 weeks late and an induction.

Two hours later I called her back to say he had arrived and I was calling her from the bath as I was having a quick wash ( planned home delivery) she obviously didn't believe me until she arrived on the door step and saw for herself.

Currently 8 weeks with dc3 - I'd be happy if dc3 could beat ds (around an hour from first realising I was in labour) and dd ( 7 hours)

Mine was a little bit quicker. First was 11.5 hours and 2nd was 9 hours, both natural home births. But I found the 2nd was definitely easier and more straightforward. I knew what I was doing and what worked for me and it wasn't such an unknown. I think the 2nd was more intense because it was a bit quicker, but I definitely found it easier and the recovery was a breeze in comparison.

My second was just under half the time of my first and significantly less painful.
