Diarrhoea at 39 weeks

Hi, I'm 39 weeks today with my 2nd.

On Monday (3 days ago) I had diarrhoea with every toilet break I took. Then I had no bowel movements Tuesday or yesterday. (Which is unusual. I'm usually regular)

Then today the diarrhoea started again.

Could this be a sign of my body getting ready for labour? Or should I be contacting my midwife?

I don't feel ill or under the weather. I've had a few period pain type feelings over the last few days. But other then that I'm all good.

Regards,

S

Ooh could be a sign! Contact midwife for advice and good luck 🤞

Following because I’m exactly the same at 38+4!

You don't have to contact midwife, it's a good sign, in fact I'm jealous!

I had this the day before I went into labour, apparently it's the body's way of having a clear out before the baby come, that's what midwife told me!

Thanks ladies.

No labour yet but I'm definitely on high alert! Ha ha.
