Brown Spotting 5 weeks

I really hope some ladies can put my mind at rest. I'm 5 weeks tomorrow and have had since yesterday some cramping. Nothing serious I just know it's there. I went to the toilet earlier and notice some brown stuff on my tissue not a lot. Some to the midwife who to be honest made me worry even more by saying I need to go to the doctors for a blood test to see if my pregnancy is continuing. When I spoke to the doctors they said aslong as the pain doesn't get worse or bleeding doesn't then I should take another pregnancy test in 2 weeks time. Help ladies. I'm getting rather stressed out.

I had brown spotting at ten weeks but all was fine. I think it was old blood, so possibly implantation. I also had lots of cramps.

@auntyflonono thank you for replying. It's just made me feel so scared. The pains aren't unbearable I can still function and they do come and go. I'm just scared now.

I woke up in the night at 5.5 weeks covered in blood. The bleeding continued for several hours and then stopped. Like you I was very worried but had a scan a week later and saw heartbeat and am now 13 weeks. They couldn't explain what caused the bleeding.

If you can afford it, a private scan at 6-7 weeks might give some reassurance. Good luck.

I'm 7 weeks and have been having a bit of brown spotting and just feeling like things are happening in my womb area. I was able to go to my nearby walk in early pregnancy unit. I have a scan appointment for Friday. Do you have anything like this? I'd never heard of it till I phoned my GP.

I'm also worrying and will do until I know something. I hope it turns out to be nothing bad going on with you. It seems to be something that many people experience but is absolutely fine.
