15 weeks pregnant, worried by lack of symptoms

Hi All

I had a missed miscarriage last year and as a result I am a nervous wreck. I am 15 weeks pregnant and am feeling anxious about my lack of symptoms. I have seen my little wriggler during the scan and all was good but throughout my pregnancy I've not had any morning sickness and really my only symptoms have been sore boobs, a bit of a tummy (which some days looks smaller), occasionally having to get up more in the night to go to the loo, and weirdly day long sneezing.

I have my 16 week appt next week but am just looking to see if other people have been through similar almost symptom-free pregnancies? I know the chances of everything being ok at this point are high and hope I'm just a lucky (if not nervous) one having a symptom free pregnancy.

TIA

Gem

I’m pregnant with my fourth, two boys and two girls. With the boy pregnancies I had every symptom going but with girls, nothing at all. If I didn’t see them on scans and get so bloody big, I wouldn’t have known I was pregnant Grin. It can be completely normal.

I'm 12 weeks and have the same symptoms of you! I don't feel pregnant at all a lot of the time. I am waiting on my scan to confirm all is ok but my Mum said she was the same as me with both of her pregnancies and all was fine with us.
All women are different and I guess we are lucky to have not felt too unwell. I'm sure all is fine, I've heard the 2nd trimester is where most women feel the best during the pregnancy.

I could have written this myself.

I am 16 weeks today and pregnancy wise really don't feel pregnant.

It's number 3 for us and we had a MC last Christmas so feeling more
nervous than previous pregnancies.

I have no bump, havnt felt any movement yet if it wasn't for my 12 week scan I would honestly be struggling to accept it.

20 week scan feels a long way away Blush I have a consultant appointment tomorrow so guessing that might make it seem more real waiting around at clinic Blush

It so hard to just wait and trust your body isn't it.

Just to echo everyone else, don't worry about symptoms. I had none either and I let it drive me crazy with worry. As I type this, I'm looking at my 18 month old healthy DS, so I can assure you that symptoms mean nothing!

Hi, I had a missed miscarriage a few years ago and was the same. No symptoms at all except really tired. the hardest bit is between 12 week scan and when you can feel little wriggles. Its not easy but just think how low risk you now are after having a healthy baby at 12 weeks.

I'm 35 weeks pregnant with my third and never had many symptoms. Early days I just knew I was pregnant before the test even showed positive. Had mild nausea on and off until about 8 weeks but no vomiting and sore nipples, a few stabby pains in the vagina. The end.

Can you book yourself a private reassurance scan?

You lot are bloody marvellous! Smile Thank you so much for taking the time, it's incredibly reassuring to see others have had similar experiences. Wishing you all happy pregnancies {smile}

Sorry to hear you've been through the same @bearface. When are you due?

Mousefunky - my spidey senses tell me its a boy but now you've made me wonder!

@Patienceofatoddler - it really is unnerving isn't it? I think I found it worse having an mc , with bub dying, not knowing and feeling foolish. That said I know it is incredibly rare for it to happen again so we should take comfort in that Smile

With my last pregnancy I didn’t know I was pregnant till 16 weeks. Literally the only symptom I had was I felt a bit tired.

alwaysthepessimist · 01/08/2018 14:53

My DD is now 6, before I had her I had a MC at 8 weeks, I fell pregnant again very quickly but I had no symptoms whatsoever, no morning sickness nothing, the only thing I did have was blue veins in my boobs and tummy ache very low down, almost like period pain but I worried like crazy until I felt her move reliably - my MW wouldn't do extra scans etc to reassure me either as she believed that would have actually made me worse (and I tend to agree). I kick myself now though for not being more relaxed and being able to enjoy carrying her - it was only when I was about 24 weeks I think I truly relaxed

Are you in London OP? St George’s hospital have a walk-in EPU where you could get a scan. Wishing you all the best x

littlegem84 · 01/08/2018 15:14

@Kintan - I work here but unfortunately am based out in the sticks! This thread has put my mind at ease no end though so thank you x

Thanks. It was so hard being pregnant after it. I am 34 weeks. I had a private scan at 10 weeks but my husband didn't want to have anymore, he was worried I'd become dependant in them. I had a small bleed at 17 weeks and it's jus awful it I have managed to cope. Once you feel those movements you will feel amazing. Xxx

littlegem84 · 16/08/2018 16:19

Update - today I went for my midwife appointment and she let me listen to the heartbeat. I was so nervous but I was reassured when I heart little one's heart going at 160 bpm :)

Hi it's understandable that you are feeling anxious but don't worry!

I'm sure your little bean is perfectly fine and once oh have your scan it will put your mind at rest.

I had almost no symptoms when pregnant with my son, no sickness etc and also just didn't feel pregnant for ages.

Good luck! X
