So I had my baby 17 days ago and I have been led to believe the hospital look after you for 28 days postpartum? As the community midwife told me to call them yesterday regarding this but I've been discharged from the community midwife so can I still call? I believe it's nerve damage as it's the leg that I couldn't move during labour and delivery where as I could still move the opposite one and the day after having my lo I still didn't have much control over the damaged leg and since coming home I've notice a pain in the back of my thigh under my bum cheek that's getting increasingly worse everyday ...walking is painful and my leg gives way every 10-15 mins , I can't turn on the spot , walking up the stairs is very painful and getting out of bed using the bad leg is almost impossible! No matter what position I'm laying in I can't get up I have to use my good leg to drag me to the end of my bed then get up? And I know it's not a twisted muscle because when I put pressure with my hand on the area there is no pain ... please someone suggest what to do 😔 I feel useless I really do when my baby crys I can't get to her quick enough

This definitely needs checking out. It could be sciatica from the position of it but any loss of function or severe effects after an epidural or spinal should be looked at.

Be careful on the stairs. I have very bad SPD and have experienced similar (pain, weakness, leg going out from under me.)

Because it’s not specifically an obstetric concern they may ask you to attend A&E but it’s worth calling.

@Bowlofbabelfish
Should I contact the triage or will they not be able to help me? I'm extremely worried the use of my leg is becoming less and less everyday 😔 I have been able to go out with my baby once in almost 3 weeks

Contact the triage - they can and will direct you elsewhere if they feels it’s needed or more appropriate
