Anyone else only have 'morning' sickness in the evening?

Hi everyone.

I am 8w1d. This is my second pregnancy but hopefully first baby (sadly had a missed miscarriage in April).

A scan last week revealed a healthy bean with a heartbeat, which was fantastic ❤

I am getting nausea, but it only seems to strike in the evening! I will feel mildly nauseous when I first wake up, but by 9am I feel fine and will continue to feel fine until about 6pm, when I'll start to feel very queasy. Like clockwork, I'm starting to feel queasy now! This normally continues until I go to bed.

Even though I feel rotten in the evenings, I often forget I'm even pregnant during the day as I feel fine!

Anyone else get 'evening sickness'? Grin

6-9pm every evening for 3 months. Very annoying for dp as I couldn't bear for him to cook

Fightthebear · 31/07/2018 17:29

Congratulations on your pregnancy.

The evening sickness was the same with mine, I think linked to feeling more tired in the evening.

Thisismydilemma · 31/07/2018 17:31

Yes, I always felt more sick in the evening. 'morning sickness' ha!

Picklesandpies · 31/07/2018 18:03

I always feel worse as the day goes on - up and down all day with food and naps but generally awful from 5pm - bedtime. Wondering when it will end! 13 weeks tomorrow.

bluebird3 · 31/07/2018 20:20

I'm the same as pickles, on and off all day but mostly on and I'm only 8w. I hope I don't have 5 more weeks of this. Sad

Yip! Late afternoon or evening was my fun time.

Kaceymariaxx · 31/07/2018 20:28

Me too!! I’ve started feeling sick all day, but before this it was evenings!

Moussemoose · 31/07/2018 20:29

I had every waking moment sickness but never actually had the satisfaction of being sick.

Fun times Confused

Watto1 · 31/07/2018 20:30

I never actually vomited, but I felt constantly nauseous, getting worse in the evening. It was like feeling permanently car sick.

Greenteandchives · 31/07/2018 20:31

Yes with mine although I was nauseous all day, I was physically sick every evening after my meal.
I thought about just scraping my plate straight down the toilet to cut out the middle man.

Picklesandpies · 31/07/2018 20:49

@bluebird3 I hope you don't either. Just grim. I'm relieved to have told our children now so at least I don't have to pretend all the time.

@Watto1 totally agree - it's like being permanently travel sick. Fun!

Aria2015 · 31/07/2018 20:51

Yes every evening. It worked out well for work but obviously evenings weren't fun! I managed to keep my pregnancy secret for ages because of it though so was happy!

Mousefunky · 31/07/2018 21:14

I had it all day but it definitely always peaked in the evening. I still get it every so often now sadly (am 26+2).

trippingoverrainbows · 31/07/2018 22:04

Hi @CobaltRose I could have written this post myself. I'm 7+6, MMC back in March and this time round have terrible evening sickness. I have thrown up my dinner most nights in the past week Confused

Hoping your sickness eases off soon!

Waitinforaflamin · 31/07/2018 22:05

All day sickness for me. Was like a low grade hangover without the fun of the night before and that wouldnt shift.

Rabbit15 · 01/08/2018 09:54

I am the same, most nauseous from 5.30pm onwards, I have been sick a few times after stepping off the tram to get home after work.

brodiee · 01/08/2018 10:05

Hi @CobaltRose - I've been feeling sick on and off all day and in the evening too!

Do u mind me asking how good the visibility was on ur scan? I also had a mc prior to my current pregnancy and want to get a scan done, around 8 week mark but the place near me only does abdominal not internal so was wondering if it would show much on screen

CobaltRose · 01/08/2018 11:18

@brodiee, this was my abdominal scan! Smile

Ah wow! You can see so much!! 😍 Thank you for sharing @CobaltRose

Morning sickness actually relates to the morning of your pregnancy i.e. the first trimester, not when you get it during the day Wink
