When did you start to show in third pregnancy?

I've just found out I'm pregnant with my third baby. I lost my first baby at 6 months pregnant but it'll still be my third pregnancy. We are planning on telling the family as late as possible to avoid a very long pregnancy (ideally 12 weeks). Do you think my tummy will be able to keep it a secret until then? I understand every person and pregnancy is different but would love to know when anyone who's had a third pregnancy started to show?

I think so. I didn’t tell people until I was 16 weeks by then it was obvious but I still think I could have hidden it if I really wanted to.

I guess in theory I started showing at 14-15 weeks but it could have very easily been put down to cake and was easy to hide.

@WhatAnAbsolutePenis thanks for the reply! I'm tall and slim so I'm hoping that'll help. Plus I'm planning on watching my weight a lot more in this pregnancy! Was such hard work getting it off last time! X

Same! It’s my third and I’m older so I’m planning to not eat quite as much cake .
Plus I make huge babies so I wonder if that’s something to do with me eating loads of carbs and cakes before?!

Congratulations on your pregnancy. I’m sorry to hear about your earlier loss.

I think it should be possible. At 12 weeks the uterus should still be below the pelvic bone. I’m 22 weeks with no. 3 and haven’t told work yet with the help of some careful dressing!

I would say I popped around 20 weeks.

I am 15 weeks pregnant with DC3. It's only obvious when I'm naked! I reckon I've got another few weeks.

Thanks everyone! This gives me hope! Although I am tempted to tell my mum sooner as I'm not sure what we're going to do with dd when we have scan appointments etc.

It was noticeable to me about 12 weeks but couldn’t hide it after about 16 weeks

twobambinos · 31/07/2018 17:56

I literally popped over night the day I hit 20 weeks. We told family at 14 weeks. Best of luck.

Aspergallus · 31/07/2018 17:58

Sorry to say but I think I looked kind of pregnant around 9 weeks with DC3...having got to 25w with DC1 with barely a sign. Good luck!

MummyPig89 · 31/07/2018 18:01

I’m 14 weeks now with number 3, if I wear tight clothes you can tell but I could easily hide it still. I have lost some weight with the nausea though which helps

Picklesandpies · 31/07/2018 18:07

I was ridiculously bloated at 9 - 10 weeks - looked very pregnant. It's gone down though now at nearly 13 weeks. Still fairly obvious if I do t wear the right thing though. Had to wear a scarf long ways over my dress today to hide it.

I'm sorry for your loss by the way. That must have been hard. Congratulations on this pregnancy Thanks

blueberry71 · 31/07/2018 18:32

Thank you everyone! @Picklesandpies don't I know it about the bloating! I'm barely 4 weeks and this is the most bloated I've ever been! Can't remember it being this bad with my last pregnancies! Honestly feel more uncomfortable than I did when I was 9 months pregnant with my daughter! X

It's crazy isn't it. I didn't find anything helped either! It just went down in its own time! Also found that I was quite constipated initially which didn't help matters!

blueberry71 · 31/07/2018 20:36

@Picklesandpies I can't wait for it to subside! On the plus side it's stopping me from over eating! That's the biggest issue for me and pregnancy. As I can't have my wine I end up snacking! Going to be better behaved this pregnancy Hmm
