I had an utterly bizarre dream a week ago (when I still didn't know I was pregnant). My grandfather (who died in April this year) was walking with me around my hometown and he bought me this huge pink and white, strawberry and candyfloss icecream. I'm saying this mentally bashing myself - as it goes against my best rational intentions - but it'd be nice if the dream was linked to having a girl! Any interesting stories? Smile

I had more of a 'vision' as I wasn't in bed!! Of me walking down a street holding the little hands of 2 dd with particular names!!
I did indeed meet a new man and have 2 dd and used the names from my vision. Probably not names I would have chosen either!

Yes, I had a dream about 2-3 months that I was bouncing a baby boy with beautiful curly dark hair on my knee, and I went on to have a boy, no curly hair though. My nan used to bounce me on her knee so I saw it as a message from her.

I also had a dream about my neighbour, she was holding a baby at her window with a blue blanket and waved ot me. Neighbour had treatment to help her conceive her first dd and thought she wouldn't have any more. A few months later she found out she was pregnant and went on to have a boy.

Yes, I only dreamt about my baby once when I was pregnant and I can still picture it clear as day. A little girl with blonde curly hair, which is exactly what she turned out to be 😁

When I first found out I was pregnant I dreamt I gave birth to a boy.

Up until the gender scan DH and I were convinced it would be a girl as we’d done all the old wives ‘tests’ for fun and they all pointed to a girl. Even my cravings were supposedly for girls!

But gender scan revealed a boy! I’m due in 4 weeks so I guess we’ll see if my dream (and the sonographer) was right.

I had a dream quite early on, about 8 or 9 weeks and I was giving birth in the house I grew up in. My mum was there was whisked the baby away into the spare room. When I went in to see the baby it was my dog! But all the focus was on the fact that it's a boy dog (wasn't weird to us in the dream that i'd birthed a dog!!). I never had any other feelings that it was a boy or a girl but I did have most of the old wives tales indicating a boy. Yes I know they are nonsense but every person I met would comment on my boy shaped bump etc etc. I sure enough did have a boy.

Yes, had a dream when I was pregnant but didn’t know about holding the hand of a little girl but as a female with only sisters and 8 aunts- 1 on mums side, 7 on dads- you could argue I always assumed I would have girls.

AprilShowersInJuly I think I’ve heard your story before and remember being amazed. Didn’t you already have sons and think your family was complete?

I didn’t have any about mine, but my sister did. She dreamt that I had a kitten!!!

RedNed · 31/07/2018 19:31

Yes. I referred to dd1 as he until about 8 weeks when I dreamt of a pink you pram. I just knew then it was a girl and we didn't find out the sex but I didn't really bother with boy names as I Just knew.

Had no idea with dd2 though until I had a blood test Smile

Had a dream at five or six weeks (when I was terrified of another miscarriage) that the baby told me she'd be fine and her name.

Everyone else was convinced I'd have a boy, as she will be the first blood girl on my husband's side in seven generations.

And after the harmony test I was proved right Grin

Still waiting for DH to come round on the name though ...
