No I didn't react at all

Redrosebelle · 30/07/2018 18:48

I had aching limbs and felt a bit unwell. It’s an immunoglobulin so can cause flu like symptoms. However my best friend didn’t react at all!

MagicalCreatures · 30/07/2018 19:10

Had one a couple of weeks ago. I didn’t notice anything x

I’m due to have mine in a few weeks, hate having injections....did it hurt? Where did they do it?

Amy1996 · 30/07/2018 19:53

Had mine on Thursday last week and arm still swollen, very bruised around the injection entry point and feels so heavy! Just tried to do yoga and could barely lift my arm! No flu symptoms though that I've noticed. I'm seeing midwife tomorrow so will check all ok but I guess it's just one of those things that different people react differently to.

PaintBySticker · 30/07/2018 20:59

No after effects for me. Give your midwife team a call if you’re worried.

UghFletcher · 30/07/2018 21:01

Had a bit of an achy arm like after a flu jab but that was about it. I

Angelmiracle · 30/07/2018 21:02

I had no symptoms after it when I was having DS will be needing it again in approx 22 weeks time Grin

Emus · 30/07/2018 21:06

I didn't experience any symptoms other than a sore area around the entry site. I had quite a few jabs too (7 during my first pregnancy). That's not to say it doesn't cause side effects though, just that I don't recall experiencing any.

Hayleyxmx · 30/07/2018 21:07

I had it on Friday, didn’t feel any different or more painful then any other injection iv had. No side effects and didn’t have any tenderness. I’m quite slim and petite and it didn’t bruise either 🙂

xJune88 · 30/07/2018 21:09

I had it after mc as I'm rhesus negative guessing everyone here is if they've had it? Mine was done in my bum and it bloody killed!! Burnt for about 10 minutes after too. No side effects though x

Emmafh3 · 30/07/2018 22:07

It's an inter muscular injection, so it's the deepest of the types of injection and goes into the muscle. Like most do tbh...
So either in the arm, bum or thigh.
You should get a leaflet about anti d and any side effects, but mostly people doesn't get any side effects from it (can't remember the %of how many actually do get any side effects) but contact Dr if you are worried about it.
Had all mine in my arm, didn't hurt any more than any other inter. Injection

Purplestorm83 · 30/07/2018 22:23

I had it in my arm, it didn’t hurt any more than any other injection, and I didn’t get any after effects. I must have had it 5 or 6 times now over 2 pregnancies, never had an issue with it (and I am terrified of needles!)
