4 weeks some late miscarriage: Implantation bleeding or early period

I had a late miscarriage at 17 weeks; I was induced and gave birth at the hospital. For 2 weeks, I had inconsistent bleeding, but it had definitely stopped after 2 weeks. A few days after, we resumed our normal sex life without using contraception. I’m pretty certain I ovulated on Tuesday 17th. On Thursday 26th, I had that brown, smudgy, dry blood on my panty liner. This was a week before my period would normally be due, going off the day I think I ovulated. I thought nothing of it because of the miscarriage. The next day, the blood turned pink-red and was slightly thicker. Today is the third day and I had light, pink bleeding for a few hours this morning, but it has stopped now. Nothing is “normal” right now, and I know that it can take months for my body to get back to normal after losing our baby, but I have nothing else to go off, except what I know of my body. I usually get my period 16 days after ovulation and it lasts 4-6 days. I was told to expect my first period 4-6 weeks once my post-labour bleeding stopped and that it would be heavier than normal and probably painful. The bleeding I’ve had the past 3 days has been the opposite. And it has come a week earlier than expected. I read that implantation bleeding generally occurs around 9 DPO, but that it is very light and not red. What I’m wondering is could I be experiencing IB and the reason it’s a bit heavier is because I had a late miscarriage just 4 weeks ago and there’s some left over blood? I can’t find anything about it online, but has this happened to anybody and you’ve been pregnant? I’ve taken tests and they are all very faint, but this could be leftover HCG from my pregnancy. If my (presumed) dates are right though, I’m not due on for another 4 days and so it could be too early to test anyway. Thoughts please!
