Any recommendations for pregnancy books for dads? Ideally something that will help during the pregnancy and also once baby is here. Did a quick google search but just wondered if anyone had any recommendations.

I’ve just ordered this for DH as a little extra birthday present for him next week. It hasn’t arrived yet but sounds good and has good Amazon reviews.

I can heartily recommend 'Commando Dad'. It's nice and factual, not mushy or sentimental, and I learned a lot too! My DH is enjoying "doing his homework" reading a page or two each night. There's one book for pregnancy and birth and another for looking after the baby when it arrives.

‘Men, Love and Birth’ by Mark Harris. DH loved it and it has really helped him get on board with going for a homebirth too.

We've got Commando Dad! There's also a book that's like a car manual for babies which has a lot of practical information and step by step pictures, etc. My DP isn't much of a reader so it's more useful to have diagrams and sections he can dip in and out of when needed rather than having a book he has to sit down and read cover to cover.

Can highly recommend "Pregnancy for Men: The expectant dad's guide to the whole 9 months" www.amazon.co.uk/dp/190541062X/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_oC1xBb6216924?tag=mumsnetforum-21
