I was unable to keep food or drink down at all yesterday up until 4am today.
Today I've not managed any food and only 700ml of fluid because im having to take sips can't drink properly and i keep sleeping.
I'm dizzy and feel generally quite crap, i dont know what to do

How far on are you? There's a great HG board here which helped support me when l was like this. I found sucking haribo a help to get sugars in or dextrose tablets. I also got given anti emetics which really helped!

Are you keeping fluids down now?

Pinkkahori · 29/07/2018 22:35

You might need rehydration by drip. I had terrible HG which I let get out of control by thinking it was just morning sickness and trying to tough it out.
Being dizzy isn't good. Can you call some for out of hours advice?

Oh sorry im about 7 weeks .. I'm managing sips of Lucozade and water but I dont feel like it's going to stay down long

It sounds like you have hyperemersis. There is a lovely support thread on here.

You need to get treatment urgently. If you have the number for the early pregnancy until on your notes give it a ring. They will probably want you to come in. If not you should go to a and e.

The treatment is fluid drips and anti sickness medication. They will probably also give you vitamins like folic acid or thiamine.

Oh cross post with shakeyourcaboose. Pregnancy Sickness Support are good.

7 weeks was awful for me too. You have to be careful. I ended up so dehydrated I was confused and not making sense. 24 hours rehydration, anti sickness meds and vitamins made a big difference.
I was still quite ill but it was manageable.

Elephantgrey · 29/07/2018 22:42

As you are 7 weeks I would call your local hospital and find out if they have an early pregnancy unit as they do tend to be better than a and e

Bleepbeepdee · 29/07/2018 23:01

My partner has phoned 111 because he got concerned so I'm getting a call back from a dr within the hour for and appointment at the hospital

Good to hear, take some pjs etc with you just in case they decide to admit you. Hope you feel better soon!

Dr checked me over i have no ketones in urine so hes happy and sending me back with some tablets to help stop the vomiting

If the tablets you've got don't help go back to the gp. But first print out the info from pregnancy sickness support on the different types of tablets available as some god are awkward about prescribing things for pregnant women
