Dates confusion

Hi I am currently pregnant with a nice little surprise. I haven’t had a period since falling pregnant with my now 15mo DS2. So date of conception is complete mystery for me.
We ended up paying for a private scan to get a due date 10/03. I am still waiting for my booking in appointment. I’m curious, will they listen to the dates given to me by the scan (not a hospital one) or will they want to do their own checks.

They'll know from your 12 week scan anyway as that's your dating scan. Xx

(Imagine they might go from the scan you've had if you've no idea on dates yourself. Xx)

Thanks for your reply, but if it wasn’t for the private scan I wouldn’t have been able to give any approximate dates so the 12 week scan may have been too early/late with the NT tests etc.

I know, makes sense why you went - I'd have done the same. At least you have an idea x

They might do their own scan. But take into consideration the first one. As I think the earliest scan is the best marker for dates. Only way to know is wait and see x

They'll likely take the date given to you by the other scan company but may want to do another anyway.

Thanks for your replies. My booking in appointment is taking forever! I’m getting very impatient
