Opinions on an early gender scan?

Hi,
I am looking at getting an early gender scan for my baby at 16 weeks (less than 3 weeks time!) but i’m unsure of the accuracy. I have looked at both ultrasound direct at mothercare and miracle inside packages and they’re just so tempting but i don’t want to waste the money if the prediction is likely to change.
Does anyone have any experience with these companies? Or can offer any advice?

Thank you!
By the way it’s my first post and wondered how to upload photos? As would like people to predict my babies gender from the scan!

We went at 16 weeks on the dot, told he was a boy and he was born a boy Grin so was accurate for us.

I I've had two now with my children. Lovely experience and well worth it ☺️ xx

I had an early scan at 16+6 and you definitely see he was a boy Grin it was also lovely because DH was there (was working at NHS scan) and DM and MIL came too x

I had one at 16 weeks and it was accurate for me Smile

We went at 16+2 at Mothercare. Very clear boy (if he’s not I’ll be slightly concerned as to what the sonographer saw when she pointed out the ‘penis and 2 very clear testacles’

PrimeraVez · 28/07/2018 18:34

I found out at 16 weeks with DS2 and the consultant didn’t once suggest there was any uncertainty.

I also went at 16+4, that was only a few weeks ago but we were told girl and explained the reasons why (not just the absence of a penis!). Our NHS scans only allow the mother and a partner, however our private scan allowed up to 6 additional guests so we were able to take my parents and our best friends which was a really really lovely experience for everyone, so for that reason alone I’d recommend it!

If sonographer is experienced they can easily tell unless of course position of baby means they can’t see properly. I was still living overseas when I was pregnant but we knew at 13 weeks we were having a daughter

Went at 16 weeks to mothercare, they said girl and she was Grin

Thanks guys! Based on the picture/nub theory do you think it’s a boy or girl? And can anyone explain how? I’m so confused to where the nub even is!
