Anyone nearing their due date?

Hello ladies,
[Might be some tmi]
Currently very miserable due to the heat here!
Im 38+5 due on August 5th.
Next midwife appointment is on the 7th August.
I had my last baby at 38+1 so I feel overdue already!
Had lots of on off signs and hints, only to be disappointed..
Had a sweep in week 37 and another a few days ago. Bled after the first one a bit and had lots of aches and pains. Had full on false labour last 5 hours the day before my second sweep. (had to ask the doctor if I could have one with not being term)
Since second sweep I've only had lots of yellowish thick discharge (I assume parts of my plug)
Now I'm just trying to stay active as much as physically possible on this heat.. and nap when I feel the need (or when my 4yo does)
Last check my cervix is so ready for this and so am I..so come on baby!

Anyone else totally fed up and eager to have their bundle??

Yes!!!! I’m 38+2 currently, got a scheduled c section for weds next week but been having cramps and at midwife check today I was 3cm dilated.... eeeeek! No proper contractions tho so might be a few days yet and I just want baby out now!!

@Beeperbird aww that's good! Must be good to know that you'll be definitely holding your baby by you csection date! It's the not knowing that's killing me!
I'm at 2-3cm also so I'm praying it will be by the end of next week.
Baby was estimated weight of 6lb14oz at 37+5 so I don't want to go overdue!

Good luck I hope you get your little baby soon!!

I'm due 14th Aug but booked for c-section on 7th Aug. I had a growth scan at 36+2 and baby was weighing 6lb 11 so I'm not having a small baby!

I'm due 8th August, this will be 3rd baby and been having niggles/aches for a week at least. Not false labour just aches and pains wondering could this be it..... And then nothing.

The last bit is so hard mentally isn't it. C-sections with a date of having your baby sound amazing tbh. I'm not even term yet but convinced myself baby could come anyday.

@hjkillas at least you have had some positive signs after sweeps, can I ask why you have requested them? Did they work with your first? The kids were with me at last apt and next one isn't until 40 weeks, if baby still hasn't arrived by then I will get childcare for the apt.

Hope everyone is plodding along ok in this awful heat

Hi everyone
I'm due 9th August and already fed up swollen hands and feet had a sweep last Thursday then lost my mucus plug did have afew aches and pains
But now the pains have gone
Really want this baby to come already have a toddler who's going through the terrible twos stage and the heat doesn't help, also my anxiety has started to play up this week have been find up until now just so scared and nervous, hope it

I’m due tomorrow and baby seems very comfy!
I’ve been having painful braxton hicks and other crampy type pains for weeks, where I just get to the point when I think ‘oh this is it’ then they stop.
Baby is very low but we don’t get rountine cervix checks or sweeps offered until 40wks, so I’ve no idea if anything is happening dilation wise!
I see my midwife on Wednesday unless something happens before then!

Due tomorrow! Last baby arrived at 39 weeks exactly so feeling overdue already.

Baby measured 10lb at 38 weeks but wont do anything to get her out early so very nervous.

Had 2 sweeps was 5cm 100% effaced and bulging waters at last one but still no contractions or labour. So fed up!

Can I join?! 37+2 but being monitored twice a week at day care due to preeclampsia and was told they're just waiting for a reason to induce me at this point. So fed up of all these appointments and going back and forth to the maternity unit, wish they would just stop talking about induction and do it already!

I'm a FTM and pregnancy is soooo not glamorous. I was so naive before!

I’m due 12th August, and don’t deal with hot weather very well! Still officially working until 1st August as well, though I work term time only so apart from a few admin bits I don’t have much more to do now. I went 6 days overdue last time but sat my last appt my midwife said she’ be surprised if I get to 40 weeks this time - but I think she was just saying that to make me feel better! Have had loads of aches and pains and more or less constant Braxton Hicks but nothing proper so far 😕

I woke up with very achey lower back, unfortunately think I had just slept a little funny.

It's awful that every little niggle gets my hopes up.

Due on 14th with transverse baby but he's now engaged thankfully. Lost my plug and lots of cervical pain but going to daycare later for CTG due to 8 reduced movements- telling them there and then I'm bloody exhausted and ain't moving out until he's here.

Was induced with daughter in 2014 after 3 reduced movements so this should be a no brainer.

I'm due tomorrow & completely had enough!! Been getting twinges & crampy on/off for the past couple of weeks which obviously turns in to nothing. Heat hasn't helped at all been cooler past few days but supposed to be hotting up again by the end of the week. Great!
Midwife apparently doesn't offer a sweep until 41 weeks which I think is crazy! Wish things would kick off for me soon.

Which is such a shame to think I could have almost another month waiting
How come some MW sweep earlier than others anyone have any ideas ?

Hey there I'm due today!

I had 4 hours of regular contractions I think a couple of days ago and now I'm sat crampy tummy and backache. I've also randomly had a nosebleed this morning Confused

Just to update... baby girl arrived on Sunday on her due date! Obviously we are all thrilled she is here but a big part of me is just as relieved to finally not be pregnant!

due on 14th but have had 8x reduced movements with this pregnancy so when i see consultant tomorrow after scan im getting an eviction date within 3 days lol

really not enjoyed this pregnancy so hubby has two stones looked out and im keeping my thumbs out the way lol

I'm still pregnant here at 39+3..fed up now!!

Anxiety has fully took over my pregnancy now 🙄

Hoping she will arrive close to her due date. Couldn't bare being left til 42 weeks x

@Hjkillas any update? I had an hour and a half of contractions this morning coming 2.5 mins apart then had a bath and it all slowed right down and stopped after a while!

Heya, I’m only 36+4 so could still be almost 6 weeks off 😩 Really feel for you ladies as I’m miserable already! Baby is partially engaged and I can feel his head wiggling around super low down and I’m having episodes of painful BH so the optimistic part of me is hoping he’ll decide to come at 37 weeks but don’t want to be too disappointed when I’m (inevitably) pregnant until September!

Must be helpful having an actual date though, waking up every day for the last two weeks with "is it today?!" Only to be disappointed every night I go to sleep is annoying me!
She's obviously just enjoying being in there and getting bigger.. little monkey!
