Have i forgotten anything??

Baby due September so ive started buying essentials. I dont have room to store stuff so only want stuff im going to use straight away. Can you please tell me if ive forgotten anything?

-Mosses basket, mattress, sheets, blankets

-Steriliser

-Bottles, bottle brush

-Bottle warmer

-Baby bath

-Baby monitor

-Baby bouncer

-Travel system includ. pram, car seat

I will get cot when needed. Is there anything else i should have?

You'll want muslins, nappies, nappy cream, nappy bags, changing mat etc. as well. And a bag to carry it all round in. Clothes I'm guessing you've got covered?

Thanks @pirate :) ive got clothes bit i actually did forget about a changing mat, bag etc. Ill put that on my list.

You won't need a monitor straight away, they sleep in the same room as you for 6 months (that includes sleeping in the lounge until you go up to bed).

You'll only need the bottle stuff it not intending to breastfeed, otherwise don't bother until you need it. Mine just sat in cupboard for 2 years unused and taking up space!

Breast pads (even if not bfing, you'll leak until your milk dries up) and maternity pads.

I think a feeding pillow is useful even when bottle feeding as your ATM can get really tired!

One thing loads of people have recommended to us is an electric in ear thermometer. I got a braun one on a good deal.

I bet you will use the baby bath exactly once, and then realise it is too much of a faff! I was given one (unused) it lay in the spare bedroom (unused) until I passed it on to someone else. The bloody thing has probably never been used and is still being passed round! (See also snowsuits!)
