Hi all.
I am 33 years old, and I was pregnant in November- I was on the pill for a long time, and when we decided to start trying, I went off the pill and got pregnant after first attempt! We were shocked at how quickly I got pregnant. Went for scan to find out if baby is boy or girl, only to find out baby had feotal abnormality due to bilateral renal agensis. I had to have a surgical termination at 22 weeks. We were heartbroken.
It has been three months since the termination, and I got my period ten weeks after this termination. We are trying, but no luck so far.... well, my periods used to be regular like clockwork, but now my period is late (im not pregnant though) I am scared that it will take months for me to get pregnant again! Does anyone else or anyone have that problem?
Im not getting much advice from midwives or doctors really. I don't know whether to go back on the pill to get my hormones back in place? I am aware that it takes a while for pregnancy hormones to leave the body, and that may take a while for my periods to be regular again. Frustrating really! My sister suggested digital OPKs?
There may be a thread on all of this somewhere.
