Hi all!
I know this might sound silly but I heard if your experiencing hair loss and acne you could be having a girl .. has this been true for any of you ?
I’m currently 6 weeks and my acne is getting worse day by day 😫

As you said, they’re myths. I am on my third pregnancy, my first 2 were as different as they could be from each other (no hair loss or acne), I have 2 girls.
Currently pregnant with my third, again symptoms (although similar in some ways to my first). This one is a boy.

SoyDora · 26/07/2018 14:51

In fact, I’ve never had thicker, better condition hair than my second pregnancy (girl).

Grandmaswagsbag · 26/07/2018 14:54

I’ve had exactly the same symptoms for boy and girl inc. bad skin and terrible sickness.

DailyMailFail101 · 26/07/2018 14:59

I had really bad skin in both my pregnancies both boys my hair didn’t change at All.

popcorndiva · 26/07/2018 15:02

I had acne and my hair's condition was bad when usually it's very good. Everyone said I must be having a girl but I am definitely expecting a boy in 5 weeks. Now I know it's more that my body just overdoses on hormones so all my symptoms have been exaggerated. Every pregnancy is different, there are no rules

Hjkillas · 26/07/2018 15:18

Had a boy and currently pregnant with a girl.
Boy, clear skin..beautiful hair grew fast..good nails very low bump.. craved loads of savoury food. Came early at 38+1 no morning sickness

Girl, fairly clear skint (odd breakout) dry hair but still grew fast.. shitty brittle nails very high bump even now when she is halfway engaged. Not craved hardly anything apart from I've too a liking to spicy food. Still in there and cooking at 38+4. Did have a fair bit of nausea until around 14 weeks

SoyDora · 26/07/2018 15:31

My worst sickness by far (still vomiting multiple times a day at 18 weeks) has been this pregnancy (a boy).

student26 · 26/07/2018 15:38

With all my symptoms everyone said I was having a boy. I’m cuddling my little girl now!

BossWitch · 26/07/2018 15:46

It's all bollocks OP. Old wives tales.

Sorry to hear about your symptoms. Sounds like your hormones are going crazy. It will most likely settle as you get out of the first trimester.

My normal acne cleared up in both my pregnancies, girls both times.

SoyDora · 26/07/2018 15:54

It makes no sense anyway. Why would the presence/absence of a penis cause different symptoms?

RainRainGoAwayy · 26/07/2018 15:58

Thick, thick hair both times

Horrible acne the first time for all of the 1st trimester and most of the second. This time round, lovely clear skin that people have commented on.

Moderate sickness first time, none at all this time.

Everyone convinced me this was a girl as pregnancy has been so different to DS... nope, it's another boy Grin.

BossWitch · 26/07/2018 16:44

Oh yes - apart from the lovely clear skin, this pregnancy has been TOTALLY different from the last. Everyone is telling me it must be a boy. Nope, another girl!

Rosepetals11 · 26/07/2018 18:36

Thanks everyone!
I guess symptoms don’t mean anything I just have to wait and see! 😅

It’s a myth, and it is sex not gender.
