Exhaustion

Hi, I’m only 5 weeks pregnant and I am already so exhausted every day. I don’t know how I’m going to deal with it if it lasts for weeks. Did most people find that they were really exhausted this early, and how long did it last?

I asked work if I could take a shorter lunch break and finish half an hour earlier (getting home, eating dinner and getting to bed earlier would be so nice, even if it’s just by half an hour) but my manager said that I “could try it for a couple of days and then see if I’m feeling better.” I got the distinct impression that she is expecting me to go back to regular hours on Monday. FWIW I work in an office and as long as I get my work done, I don’t see why it matters that I’m sitting there until 5:30.

Not sure if I’m posting this for advice, or just to rant, I’m sitting at my desk now and am so tired I feel like I could burst into tears.

I know how you feel and it is the same for me! I am so tired... all the time. It's horrible. I did ask work to finish half an hour earlier and thankfully they have been good as I have a long commute.

Hang in there, apparently it gets better in second trimester Brewand congratulations!!!
