Hello, have 5 weeks to go until baby arrives and have put on a lot of weight and it keeps piling on.

Please can anyone tell me if you can do juice plus complete for the final 5 weeks of pregnancy and then while breastfeeding?

It would be good to hear from consultants or people who have done it.

In the past I have always been on Cambridge diet to lose and maintain weight but I don't think you can do that unfortunately :(.

Thank you.

If you’re worried about putting on weight in the last few weeks, speak to your doctor or midwife. I put on two stone during pregnancy, but lost half of that straight after the birth.

I really doubt they’d recommend dieting at this stage. Juice Plus consultants aren’t medical experts and as an MLM, not all of them would have the integrity to pass on a sale to a customer who shouldn’t be using their product.

‘Juice Plus’ is money making BS.

They sell shakes and pills for fortune, claiming that it contains XYZ.

NO PILL OR SHAKE is better than fresh fruit and vegetables.

They also go for the ‘eat clean’. Which basically means - don’t way crap. Don’t eat processed stuff.

There you go, I’ve given you the info for free.

PLEASE don’t get sucked in and waste money on this. You do not need shakes and pills and if you want to prevent gaining weight by all means “eat clean” if that’s a route you choose. All you have to do is google some recipes and you’re good to go.

Don’t give these people your money. It’s a scam.

Juice plus is a scam don’t touch it.
Please also don’t try dieting just now just eat healthily and cut out crap your body needs to calories.

I found when I was breastfeeding the weight dropped off and that was without changing my diet. By the time my dd was 12 weeks I was into jeans that I couldn’t fit into before i was pregnant.

Ask for a referral to slimming world from your doctor. It takes into account breast feeding if you're planning on feeding this way and can/still want to when baby arrives. I lost 2 stone in 9 months after my son was born. took the scenic route

Too much vitamin A in ANY weighloss shake (I also use a Cambridge style product outside of pregnancy).

Also, dieting in the last trimester can cause the baby to not gain sufficient weight, which could obviously be very bad.

Best thing you can do is not eat crap.

FWIW I managed to not gain for the first 20 weeks, then BOOM the weight just piled on! Most of it is blood, water, amniotic fluid, placenta and almost half a stone of baby though!

Try not to worry.

12 weeks after birth you can go back on cambridge if you wish.
