A bit worried

I was in the bathroom washing my hands... mum came rushing up the stairs...tripped and went flying towards the toilet...I swung round and grabbed her to break her fall.
She has bruising to her knees and feet but when I grabbed her I feel like I've pulled something in my stomach and across my back and sciatic pain.... it wouldn't usually worry me but I'm 17 wks pregnant.... what are the limits when your pregnant?

You could easily have pulled something, if it's very painful go see your gp. I doubt it would harm the baby but you could have damaged a tendon or compressed a nerve or something.

I was in a car accident at around 18 weeks and the seatbelt tightened awkwardly around my bump which gave me pains similar to what you're describing. After spending the day in triage, everything with baby was fine I just had some bruising on the side of my bump and the odd ache and pain. If you're worried you should get seen to by your midwife. I'm sure they'd check for a heartbeat etc just to reassure you that baby is fine but they're well protected in there so I wouldn't worry too much!

Thank you both...I feel so much better today...back 80% better and tummy and side pain gone...felt what I can only describe bubbles popping in tummy ....so panic over haha
