Trying to conceive Baby no 2?

Hi ladies if mumsnet!!

I don’t know why I’m obsessing so much as we have only started ttc this month but I just wanted some advice and what everyone else’s experience was!

According to my app I’m going to be ovulating this weekend, my friend has given me some ovulation tests and started using them yesterday. It was negative yesterday afternoon but since last night I’ve been getting quite painful cramps still painful now. My cervical mucus is really watery could this mean I’m going to ovulate sooner than the weekend?

I know they say dtd every other day but I’m planning everyday and twice on the O day just to be sure!

When I conceived my first we were on our honeymoon and we dtd almost twice a day during my fertile window and we got pregnant first time so it can’t help lol

You could well ovulate earlier or later than the app estimates. Apps aren't 100% reliable way of predicting ovulation, as I'm sure you know. Go by the signs your body is giving you. Very fertile (slippery) CM and the result of the ovulation tests should help guide you. It's always worth starting to have sex a good few days before you expect to ovulate and to carry on for a little while after the too, to be on the safe side.

I'm currently pregnant with No. 2 and managed to get pregnant the first month trying, just by having sex every day that I saw very fertile CM. I was amazed as did all sorts of tracking (temping, clearblue monitor, etc) when TTC No.1 and it took lots longer.

When we conceived with my first we didn’t do anything but dtd and one day I noticed my cm was watery so I hoping that because I’m noticing that now it’s a very good sign I could happen like last time 🤞🏻!

I’m just doing opks as I’m just curious as to when I ovulate but I’m trying to not to read to much in to it, as like u said it can be earlier or later than the app!!
