Anxiety about mc

Hi all

I had a mc earlier this year and been ttc since. I've got a positive on a preg test at 9dpo and I'm only 12dpo now and I'm already feeling so anxious about miscarrying again.

I'm having nightmares about starting to bleed and I feel sick every time I go to the toilet in case there is blood.

I feel like I can't be happy about being pregnant in case something goes wrong again.

Has anyone else gone through this and have any advice?

Hi Brodiee

I'm sorry for your loss Flowers, I had a miscarriage at 6 weeks in February this year, its a horrible experience.

I have since fell pregnant and I am currently 9 weeks, I have my 10 week scan next week and keep expecting the worse to happen but get so annoyed at myself thinking this Confused

So far this pregnancy has felt different as I've had a ton of symptoms so I'm hoping this is a positive sign and everything goes OK, the only thing I suggest is to take time out, get plenty of rest and eat well. I hope everything goes great for you Star

xx

Thank you @NEW2THIS2018 for taking the time to reply to me. I'm so sorry you also experienced a miscarriage. It is the absolute worst. congratulations on your current pregnancy! I'm glad all has been well for you this time.

It is so hard not to worry but I think I'll feel better once I'm past the 6 week mark, as that is when I miscarried too.

Is your 10 week scan an nhs one or private?

I'm thinking of getting an early scan to try and put my mind at rest xxx

Hello,
I'm now 12 weeks after a miscarriage at 8 weeks (discovered at about 11 weeks) in March so I understand your anxiety. I was offered two reassurance scans on the NHS. My midwife suggested I should've pushed for one more, as our last scan was 8 weeks, but I couldn't face making a fuss so I paid for a private one at 11 weeks. All fine so far, best of luck to you both. xxx

Also, I find the Miscarriage Association Pregnant After Loss Private Facebook group much better than Mumsnet as everyone understands what you've been through. xx

Thank you @CrabbyPatty for the advice! I will check out that Facebook page.

How did u get the reassurance scan? Did u ask your EPU or did your gp/midwife refer u for one?

I'm glad all is well with ur pregnancy xx

My DD is the same, so I paid for a private reassurance scan for her she has this on Saturday it may help you. It was £59 it will show a heartbeat and test for viability.

@CrabbyPatty I've gone to join the fb Page however I've hesitated as will it show to my fb friends that I've joined? I don't want friends and family to know I'm currently pregnant
