Things to do during pregnancy

So, I’m 27 weeks gone and have been signed off work for the last 5 of them due to sickness and generally feeling like a bag of spanners.

I have some annual leave to take and will then be starting my maternity leave at 30 weeks.

So far I’ve spent my time in the house watching tv, reading and doing very little else as I have no energy, but I feel as though there must be things I could be doing.

Does anyone have any suggestions of little things I could do to prepare for LO? I already have all the baby clothes that I need and the nursery set up. Is it too early to start washing the baby clothes etc?

Thanks for any advice as although there’s no way I could function in my job and I generally feel ropey as hell, I still feel that there must be something I can do during the day when my DP is at work.

I was off from 29 weeks in my last and current pregnancy due to sciatica and PGP. For me I found that little and often was best, or when I could manage. So don't push yourself.

Fine to wash the clothes now. If you feel up to it then you could do some batch cooking to freeze. You might also want to consider online Christmas shopping or shopping for any birthdays. My eldest was born mid November and Christmas was a total haze and I was so glad to have prepared before the birth. Due at the beginning of October this time and will be doing much the same! Also have a few birthdays to prepare for about 4 weeks after my due date.

If you plan to breastfeed then you could read up on that. I wish I'd known about things like tongue tie before my first, would have saved me so my stress and worry.

Thanks @Maverick for the suggestions. I might think about starting baby laundry soon then and the Christmas shopping sounds like a good idea as by then I’ll only be on SMP and won’t have the expendable cash that I do now. Thank you!
