Armpit swollen

Hi I'm 39 weeks pregnant I found one of my underarm was bigger than the other but I had it a year ago and I went for scan and everything was but now with the pregnancy I'm getting worried again I have scan on Wednesday but I just wanted to know if anyone else experienced this

Ingrown hair, maybe?

I had this with both of my pregnancies, it was excess breast tissue. The first time (4 years ago) I had an ultrasound but this time round (DD2 is 6 weeks) the consultant didn't bother with a scan, he just had a good feel. When my milk came in with DD2 my armpits swelled up really badly and it was quite painful. Went on it's own though and there's nothing there now. Hope this helps

I had this under one arm after dc2. A friend of mine had it after dc1. For both of us it was excess breast tissue. She had an ultrasound and biopsy. I just had an expert have a feel and discover that I could squeeze milk out of it.

Hi. Another person to say that when my milk came in my armpits were very sore and swollen. I didn't get it checked out as just assumed it was related to the milk. Horrible but disappeared after a few weeks. Your hormones will be affecting parts of your body you may not expect so hope all works out ok.

I had it a year ago after I stopped breastfeeding my son that's why I got checked out by my gp and I insisted them to send me to a breast clinic and I had scan they said everything was fine but it never went away coz I got pregnant straight away I hope the same this time thank you ladies

I went for the scan and everything was fine it was just breast tissue thanks for your replies

Great! I found that even though I sort of knew it would be fine, it was a huge relief!

Yeah it is but my anxiety was too much but I feel better now thank you
