Maternity triage/mental health

I was wondering if you can call the maternity triage line with mental health issues? My mood has fallen really really low in the last week, to the point where I'm frightened about myself and my baby (I'm 31 weeks). My support worker has advised me to call them but a) I'm not sure what they can do, b) I'm absolutely terrified of being sectioned and having to go to a psychiatric hospital or c) They'll tell me to fuck off and stop wasting their time.

Can you see if there's a contact number for your local perinatal mental health team? Mine have been amazing. Sending best wishes and hope you can get hold of some advice soon Flowers

Call them. They can put you in touch with the perinatal mental health team.

Definitely ring them, or your midwife, as they'll refer you to the peri natal mental health team. I was referred at about 20 weeks and had regular appointments with my named nurse and I see her fortnightly now I'm post natal.

Have you spoken to the ELAN or perinatal mental health team? If you can't find a number call maternity and they can put you in touch.
