Let's here your stories ladies

I'm 39 weeks and only ever been induced so I don't actually know what the starting of labour is like, I didn't even no I was contracting till they told me it's time to go delivery my first was 33mins and my second was 6 hours.

Would love to here your stories as I've got horrible back pain, constantly pointless peeing, and I think it's called lightning crotch!

Can't wait to here your stories 😘

After only knowing an induced labour I was worried I'd never realise if natural labour started by its self. In actual fact (after 9.5 months of braxton hicks) it felt like very strong braxton hicks. Getting stronger and more painful. Then when you can't talk any more there's no going back.

Mind you, the day before I'd felt so ill I went to hosp to be checked as I was 11 days overdue. As always. After the sweep from hell I knew she'd be here before long!

@pickleface I don't think I've have BH so I can't even say I've had them because I'm not actually sure, I have sweep with my second and he still didn't come he was 6 days over due, and I had a sweep at 37 weeks with this one lost my plug (sorry tmi) Over a few days, but still no baby 🙈

What my midwife friend told me years later was that sweeps only really help when 9 days overdue or more. Which in my experience is accurate. Other than that, the age old"yiu will just know " is about as Berkoff s it gets.

I remember being just the same, terrified my body was incapable off natural labour and whether I'd know. Truth is, I phoned DH home from a night duty on the hurry up so in truth I knew. X

I woke up with horrendous stomach pains and thought I was going to have a bad bout of diarrhoea Grin turns out I was going into labour.

I had about 12 hrs of period pains then waters broke then contractions started about an hour later and were pretty definite from the get go.

I think they say back pain can be a sign if you’ve not suffered with it before in your pregnancy.
