Small amount of blood when wiping

Hi everyone.

I am currently 7 weeks and 3 days pregnant. I have had a few slight cramps nothing major or unbearable. Very tender and sore boobs which are still very sore. This morning when I went to the toilet (no.2) there was a small amount of blood when I wiped, it wasn’t red but a pinkish colour. My husband and I had sex about 2 days ago. does this sound normal? I am so worried about every little thing as this is my first pregnancy!

Any thoughts would be appreciated

Certainly could be normal but worth getting checked I'd say :-) Lots of people have a small amount of blood in early pregnancy so not necessarily something to be worried about though :-)

I had a similar experience at around 9 weeks. Minus the having had sex recently part. I work in a hospital so quickly got checked out in the early pregnancy unit. They just checked my urine, did some obs and then they offered me an ultrasound scan just to make sure nothing was wrong. All turned out to be just fine but one of the things they always ask is whether you have had sex recently so I’m guessing it could be completely normal for you! Might be worth a quick call to your local early pregnancy unit or midwife if you know them yet?

Thanks for your replies. I haven’t met my midwife yet, first appt is 2nd Aug but we are paying for a private early scan 1 week tomorrow. There has been no more blood at all today which is good!

Had exactly the same experience at 12 weeks (pink spotting after sex) and went to the hospital immediately. The nurses there were fairly unimpressed, I think they deal with panicked pregnant women with exactly the same problem every single day :P!! I was told off for not having an appointment but they did check me without much waiting and there was nothing wrong at all with the fetus.
