Headache cures!

Yesterday I had a hideous migraine all day.

Today i’ve already woken up with a headache. Paracetamol isn’t touching it.

I work in an office that has no natural light and I don’t know how I’m going to get through today otherwise :( I’ve not experienced any headaches until this point (10 weeks, 5 days pregnant)

Spicy food works for me for bad headaches, green tea for mild ones.

I use the fore head balm helps my headaches to settle.

I had horrendous headaches with my first and after trying paracetamol which didn’t work I had a coffee (I had switched from decaf as soon as I found out I was pregnant after having perhaps two cups a day of regular coffee) and my headache disappeared!

With Dd2 I didn’t cut out coffee and didn’t get headaches!

Thanks all. I’ll give these a go.

I’m not sure I can face spicy food for coffee at the moment though!

Try an ice pack on the back of your neck with another across your head, failing that put your head under a cold shower. Migraines are caused by blood vessels dilating and I find it helps me when I get one.

Putting pressure at the base of your head/neck helps relieve it. If you're able to lie down somewhere, roll a pillow into a tight sausage and lie on your back so the pillow puts pressure there, it's amazing.

If you're stuck in the office just use your fingers to press firmly, it can help too.

Acupuncture helped me when I was pg and having daily headaches. Also make sure you are well hydrated.

You can use vapour rub.
Put it on your forehead and temples.

Don't forget to drink!
Lots of full sugar squash in this heat.
Helped me through my pregnancies!

Good luck!

I use forehead and occasionally when really bad my doctor told me to try Lucozade energy but that's not for every day use. I suffer migraines and cluster headaches so the doctor gave me those tips and helps when i have a severe bout
