Itchy bump

31 weeks and stretch marks have appeared from nowhere! I also am really itchy at the top and bottom of the bump but have raised red bumps/spots at the bottom of it which are probably what is causing the itching. Didn’t notice until I looked in the mirror. Any ideas what they could be? Don’t think it’s a heat rash or anything like that, I don’t wear anything tight and wear cotton etc.

It will be where the skin is irritated by being stretched most likely, and using a cool moisturiser will help.

However, if it spreads and the itchyness becomes unbearable, particularly on your hands or feet, go straight to your MAU.

My worst stretch marks started as red spots, they were itchy too.

I really was quite smug and thought I wouldn’t get stretch marks. I feel disappointed with myself like maybe I have put on too much weight and this is why. Silly because I should be grateful that my body is doing this amazing thing!

I had this i used e45 wash in the shower abd the cream with the pump dispensor it really helped i felt like i was on fire at times but it settled with e45.

I'm experiencing the same, I had no stretch marks until a week ago! (I'm 41+2!) and now they are here with vengeance. They are red, sore, so itchy and when I bend down I can feel my stomach ripping, I literally have no stretch left in me! I mentioned it to my midwife and she said there is nothing to worry about u less I have itchy hands and feet and to keep moisturising! X

I've been lathering myself in bio oil so far so good 33weeks! I get an itchy bump now and again no stretch marks yet though.

I have started to get this (also 31 weeks). I ended up taking a loratadine last night after looking at guidance online. I actually had some sleep after this!! Going to get some cetirizine tomorrow and double up on antihistamines.

Itching could be a sign of obstetric cholestasis and needs to be checked straight away. I had it during my first pregnancy and was induced early.
