So I was ttc 2nd cycle. I normally get sore boobs before I ovulate and then get ovulation pains when I'm ovulating but I didn't have any this month. I didn't think I was ovulating.
Anyway I started to get really sore swollen boobs a week before my period was due which was unusual for me too as normally my sore boobs die down with my period.

I bought some tests today and said to dp I don't think I'm pregnant because I feel like I'm getting my period. Massive bfp on the test!!!!
I was shaking like a leaf and started freaking out. I can't believe it's happened this quickly. I'm starting to worry about weight gain, finances, work, telling people, miscarriages etc etc.
When I told dp all excited he just said well we were planning it so I don't know why your so surprised. He doesn't seem excited or nervous at all. It's really frustrating actually. I guess i just hoped for more emotion.
I came on here because I just need to tell someone!

Congratulations! We've been trying for awhile but only seriously since feb. after 2 months of BFN's I had some test done which revelead I had an endometrial polyp. Had it removed in June in time for a July cycle. An amazingly for a BFP on Saturday. 3 days before my periods due!

DH is happy but not as excited as I thought he'd be. I think it's mainly coz he's worried how I'll be if it doesn't take. I'm 39 and this is my first pregnancy.

On the plus he's been overly affectionate since he found out so I'm just guessing he's a man and still processing his feelings!

I cried. I got pregnant my second month off the pill.

DH was kind of meh, but I went into full meltdown. It took me all day to wrap my head around the concept that I was going to have a baby. I’d spent 10 years trying NOT to!

DH is excited, but it took him a few more weeks. I told him how big the baby was at various points and that helped him get more interested. He said he didn’t know how to react at first, because we’d been trying and he just sort of expected it to happen.

Anyway, congratulations!! The other stuff sorts itself out, so just focus on enjoying being able to fit in your normal clothes for now ;)

Sounds like when I found out first time on first month ttc. Told dh expecting some reaction and he said something like Yeah I thought you were. Apparently I'd been extra hormonal for a couple of weeks and he just hadn't said anything 😐 Took me at least a week to calm down from the shock.

I found out I was pregnant a week ago and I was a mixed bag of emotions - didn’t know if I was happy, excited, anxious, a bit sad my life was going to completely change but at the same time over the moon about it, I was an emotional wreck because I didn’t know how to think or feel. My fiancé was very laid back about it. All the emotions are normal, I’m still trying to get my head around it a week on. I think partners often react a lot differently to us. Congrats on your pregnancy xx
