TMI.. weird stuff in nipples!?

Sorry for tmi and gross in advance!!

I've had bits of something in my nipples. They seem like a milky yellow & they are hard... and when soaked in bath go soft and milky.. ive just picked some bits out with tweezers and taken a picture (I won't post unless needed haha not a picture of my nipple don't worry!!) but I don't know what it is?? I'm 14 weeks with my second child. Someone said dried beginnings of breast milk. My breasts have been sore, heavy and tender since day one and have recently gone up a cup size! My nipples are twice as big too! So sore! But surely it can't happen this early?! I didn't breast feed my first, he was bottle fed but I did produce breast milk but allowed it to dry up (took about 2 weeks)...

I can put photo if it will help! When I picked the bits out I now have small dips/cracks in my nipple where they were sat!! So strange

I’ve been having that since I was 9 weeks. I’m 17 now and still getting it. This is my first baby. My friend who’s a Pediatric nurse said it is breast milk. Obviously leaking in very small amounts and drying. I wouldn’t worry about it. I’m hoping to try and breast feed so taking it as a good sign 😁

It's colostrum, the first milk the baby has. Your body is gearing up!

Was for me, I started having these yellow gunky bits in my nipples from about age 20 onwards, didn't get pregnant until I was 39.

Just your milk coming in but will just be drying up in your nipples. Being a young mum, I had this and had no pregnant friends to ask, I freaked myself out about it and was so embarrassed asking the midwife lol, it just sounds like your milk coming in xx

@surreygirl1987 - yep, I had the same from about my early 20's! Now 29 years old and 26 weeks into pregnancy. I think I just notice it more now because I'm constantly looking at myself and seeing what changes are happening!
