Test lines not getting darker 4w4days

Hope someone can reassure.

I got a faint positive last Saturday - 10 or 11dpo -at midday (I wasn't really sure if it was evap or not) followed by a darker positive Sunday and then a definite one on Monday. I did use lots of different tests and only used cheap ones. The first one I got a faint positive on was a Poundshop test. I got some more Poundshop tests yesterday as I suddenly didn't feel sick anymore. I haven't vomited yet but have felt queasy since after ov and it was one of the reasons I tested. My boobs haven't been that sore but I have cramped since I've and it's still there today a bit. The test line was definitely there, but much the same as before and still has a way to go before matching the control line, which I would have expected after 7 days if HCG doubles each day. It's hard to tell if they are getting fainter as they are much the same, but they definitely aren't getting darker!

I have convinced myself that this, combined with the nauseau dwindling a bit, probably means this isn't a viable pregnancy now and am waiting to miscarry. I haven't had any implantation or spotting yet, but I expect it will follow soon.

Has anyone else had this before miscarriage? I was going to get a Clear blue digital and see how far along it says I am, but I think that would just be a waste of money now and just cause more anxiety. In the past when I've had an early bfp days before AF is due it has always ended in MC.

I genuinely used about 15 of the same brand test and they never got darker ( well until 9 weeks) then I used a different one, boots I think and it was solid from 5+5 so don't panic.

I think doctors can check your HCG levels of you're really concerned? Worth an ask x

When I am Queen of the World, I will ban women from taking further pregnancy tests once they've had a clear positive. Doing so does nothing but create pointless stress.

OP, pregnancy tests can do only one thing. They tell you if you're currently pregnant or not. That's all. They can't tell you how pregnant you are or whether things are progressing "normally". Cheap tests often never move beyond a fairly faint positive.

You are pregnant. Congratulations. Stop testing.

Thanks for your replies. You're both totally right though, there is nothing to gain from constant testing and it's just causing me unnecessary anxiety. Testing won't stop a MC!

I have had a tiny bit of brown spotting last night, so I'm just going to see how it goes. I think having previous early miscarriages have made me symptom watch too much, and I just think the worst each time.

It is out of my hands though, so I will just get on with things and try not to think about it too much.
