Can I still have a home birth after cervical polyp removed?

I had a cervical polyp removed at 30 weeks (am now 34). I had planned on having a home birth, but as my midwife hasn't come across this before (normally they don't remove polyps when you are pregnant, but they knocked it with the speculum so it was hanging off), she has referred me back to the consultant at the hospital for a home birth assessment. She thinks there is a risk of the scar opening up during labour.

Does anyone know what the risks are, or if I should be ok for a home birth? If it's marginal, does anyone know what questions I should be asking the consultant?

Thanks for your help.

Thanks domesticqrumpness. I will try there.
DH mentioned something about a yahoo homebirth group, but he didn't get round to showing me what he meant.

Thanks. Have added a post on the yahoo homebirth site and had some useful info.

I have my appointment with the consultant tomorrow morning so hopefully will all go well.

Thanks again.
