Blood test results - overactive thyroid?

Hi,

I went to see my GP recently as I’ve been struggling to hold enough food and water down since 7 weeks (I’m now 12 weeks). I was prescribed Cyclizine which controlled the all day nausea and allowed me to keep some food in (although made me very sleepy!) and I was sent for a blood test to check my thyroid function and it’s come back as overactive. I’ve been referred to endocrinology at hospital however the appointment I have been given is for November when I will be 27 weeks!!! The doctor is trying to contact the hospital as wanted me to be seen immediately so I’m waiting for an update on this.

In the meantime I’ve been googling and worrying myself about the risks to baby.

I’m still suffering with all day nausea and sickness (vomiting daily between 2 and 8 times since 7 weeks) which has resulted in me losing 16lbs so far!!

Wondered if anyone else had experienced a thyroid problem?

Thanks x
