Numb bump

Am nearly 33 weeks and for the last few days my bump has been feeling numb, i.e. if I scratch/touch it, there is isn't much sensation there.

Has anyone else had this? Should I be worried?!

I certainly had this after a csection but not before. At 33 weeks though you must be stretching nicely and baby is probably pressing against some nerves - hope it clears up

I've got a wee spot at the top left hand side of my bump that becomes numb (or gets numby pins and needles) whenever I get a BH. it feels very wierd.

I'm absolutely crap though - I assume if the baby is kicking and I'm feeling OK then it can't be anything serious

I had this with ds. He was a footling breach and although he whirled like a dervish, his head stayed in the same position for the last few weeks. I lost sensation where his head lodged.

Both he and I are now fine!

I had a numb area on my left side just below my rib when expecting both my kids. My midwife said that there is a nerve there that can get compressed. I have never regained full feeling in that part, but it's never bothered me. I remember that before it went numb it felt sore like sunburn..HTH
