Been getting really bad Braxton Hicks for the last 2/3 hours.. I’ve just started timing them as I’ve got some bad cramping too.. I’m 32+4 and I’m so scared :(

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Hope you are ok OP, can you call your hospital/labour ward for advice?

Fuckedoffat48b · 17/07/2018 23:26

How are you now?

Taken paracetamol an hour ago and they’ve slowed down a bit but still coming around 9-10mins. Baby seems active and I’ve been a bit emotional :( all in all I’m all over the place!

First baby?

I’m 17 weeks and I’ve been getting painful Braxton Hicks for the last few days. I actually have to stop what I’m doing for a minute and re-position myself. It’s not nice.

Char, how are you feeling this morning? I always found bh increased when I was thirsty, needed a wee or had been doing too much physically. If you're worried, though, you could call the hospital and see about being checked over. Hope you're better this morning after a night's sleep.

2nd baby!
They eventually stopped at around 1.30am this morning.. I have been so tired, emotional and completely overwhelmed today and just keep bursting into tears :( tried to book in with my midwife but apparently her diary is “full” .. so will have to wait until my appointment in 2 weeks & if things get bad again I’m going to call triage!

Braxton Hicks tend to be more painful with subsequent babies.
