How long over my due date can I go with a previous csection

I had a previous csection 18 months ago. I'm due to have DC2 in 6 weeks time and have opted for a natural labour (hopefully).. I wondered if they let you go over your due date with previous csection or how long over they let you go?

Depends on each professional. At my vbac appointment they said a few days if that. At consultant appointment he seemed to want to leave it and could go beyond 42 weeks with daily monitoring

If you are otherwise low risk then waiting for natural labour to start gives you biggest chance of a vaginal birth. Induction is attempted only very carefully with a previous CS.

Some hopeful VBAC women in our unit have a birth plan that includes elective CS at 41-42 weeks.
