Made to feel dramatic?

Wanted to get checked out at triage because little ones movements have been less and less powerful.. OH said "she's just having her quiet days" MIL said oh as long as you feels something 10 times in a day..

I've rang the triage and explained and they are more than happy to do a trace now and put me at ease. Why do people love telling you that your gut is to be ignored. Gets on my t*ts.. sorry I'm just frustrated and my anxiety is going though the roof because she's been quiet since yesterday morning when I started my antibiotics 😣

Trust your own instincts, always!

Get yourself to triage and on that trace. Hope all is okay xx

RatherBeRiding · 17/07/2018 17:16

ALWAYS best to get checked out if the pattern of the movements is noticeably different. I don't think you'll find your midwife telling you you are being dramatic!

Always go with your gut instinct. You know your baby’s usual pattern of movements and any changes to that. Most of the time my mum would say oh I’m sure it’s fine if you felt something but certain days I just had this horrible gut feeling something was wrong so would always get checked out. Think I ended up going in 4 or 5 times to get checked. Better to be safe than sorryFlowers

Always trust your instincts!

Everyone else can fuck right off.

I'm just waiting on my MIL to come and watch my 4 year old. The midwife at triage was more than understanding. I do feel like I'm overreacting a bit but I'll never forgive myself if ts something that could have been picked up and easily rectified.

Been paranoid since the moment I got my BFP with this one. Don't know one what it is about having a baby on fertility treatment. I almost felt it's too good to be true from day one. Horrible anxiety!

Hoping trace will show baby prefect and happy and I can rest easy until she is out!

😥

I've been in today for this, and in fact 3 times in the last week. Did I feel I was probably wasting time? Yes. Did I feel that everything was probably fine? Yes. BUT it is not a mistake you can take back as far as I'm concerned!
As it is I am being induced tomorrow as although the machines say all is fine, I don't feel it is at all so they were more than happy to take my concerns on board and act on my worries as I don't feel as though things are quite right, even if I'd rather not be induced!

Op don’t feel dramatic. You know your body better than anyone. Go easy on dh and mil too though - they are maybe trying to reassure you (and themselves!) more than downplaying it.

Hope all is ok.

Hjkillas · 17/07/2018 19:32

Right. They are happy with baby's movements (she did perk up while we were there) and heart rate was fine. Old then about the bit of pain I was having during tightening and she did a VE. Said in at 2cm, heads quite low but cervix still a bit thick.
She gave me a sweep (erm ouch!) Was expecting it at 37+2!! Will see what that does I guess 😆

Midwifes will tell you they'd very much rather see you over nothing then not see you over something. You don't know what's going on in there so they like to check

unicorncow · 17/07/2018 23:52

Ate you saying you're 37+2 just now? I'm 36
Weeks today and so tired, o can't wait until my little man arrives!

Hjkillas · 18/07/2018 01:11

@unicorncow I am 37+2. Had two toilet trips with a bloody show so far and my painless contractions are definitely pushing downwards!!
I had my first baby at 38+1 x

If you have any concerns or worries, then go get checked out. I’d much rather have 99 people come in and be sent home having no issues that have that one person who needs attention not come in because others tell her she’s being dramatic/whatever. You do what you feel is right for you, healthcare people will understand. Best wishes for the new bub

Hjkillas · 18/07/2018 01:20

@AlbaChick thankyou x
