Braxton-Hicks

Hey so I had had two ‘episodes’ of regular and painful Braxton Hicks, first one lasting about 2 hours and pains coming every 2-3 mins and the second one more painful lasting an hour and pain every 5 mins. I was wondering if there is a link between painful Braxton-Hicks and early labour? I’m 28 weeks tomorrow just wondering about other people’s experience with BH 🙏

I had one episode of increasing BH over 5 hours at 28 weeks, got checked out but it wasn't anything to be concerned with. I went on to regularly have other episodes lasting over an hour until I delivered naturally at 39 weeks.

So BH can be lengthy & brutal but if you're unsure ring the hospital x

Long time ago, but I remember having them daily from about 20 weeks with my first child. They were never painful (like proper contractions) though

Thanks, I’m now 37 weeks and pains haven’t been as bad but get them pretty much all day everyday now! Hoping I do go a bit early now 😂

I hD these at 36 weeks. Got reayquite painful and was admitted to hospital for 24hours as they wanted to check I wasn’t going in to pre term labour. Anyway, it all died down and I ended up a week overdue.
