Membrane sweep

Hello ladies,

Just wanting some advice... I'm 38weeks pregnant, had a sweep down at my local hospital last Thursday and since lost my mucus plug, and now I've had constant back pain that bath or shower doesn't help, this is my 3rd bubba but both pregnancy's were induced and had such quick labours that I didn't even no I was contracting, help on any advice on what to do?..... I no it sounds stupid but is this the start of labour?

I'm 37 weeks FTM so no first hand experience of labour but I'd call the midwives if I was you... It could be that baby wants to meet the world

No harm in giving them a call but I think you'll know when it's go time either way x

I'm hoping so but I've got my 7 year old and my 3 year old, I've still got to be mum for so don't want to call them for them to tell me to come to triage and sit on a monitor for an hour to tell me to go back home 😩 just wish something would happen so I actually knew what was going on myself.... pregnancy is just to confusing at times

I'm going through exactly the same, I am 40 weeks tomorrow, had 2 sweeps last week, and I am sorry to say that I've been having stop/start contractions for 12 days now! I've been to triage and basically all you can do is wait until it progresses to something more... if you're concerned I would call though just to see what they advise.
It's awful so I hope you don't have this for as long as I have!!

Oh you poor thing, the kids have had there dinner and baths and I'm starting to notice a achy period like pain now, going to keep an eye on it as my daughter has her leavers assembly tomorrow don't want to miss it 🙈 so going to try and stick it out and see if anything more productive happens
