9weeks Twins no heartbeat devastated

Hey all went for an early scan today the ultrasound then vaginal one, I’m 9w+1, I didn’t know was twins but had felt it at start, and today 1st scan and they couldn’t find any heartbeats measured 6w+1 I’m completely devastated even more so with twins as they run in my family and were always the dream, I’ve to go back next week for another scan then they give me my options.

I don’t know how I’m going to get through the next week

I wish I could say something that would help you feel better, but it's so natural for you to be feeling devastated just now. I am so fortunate not to have experienced this, but there are many MNers who can help you prepare for and understand the next steps.

So Sorry, it is an awful feeling as you'd just got used to the idea of it.

Ours stopped at 8+1, found out at 11 week scan.

Do you have an understanding boss? if so give them a call, try to explain the situation (I cried my eyes out down the phone) and ask for the remainder of the week off/holidays. Takes away one stress.

I'm so sorry you're going through this op. Why on earth do you have to wait a week it's so cruel!

I waited 6 days between finding out and my appointment, its so theres enough time to ensure the scan is correct and not jjsy wrongly dated. The nurses when i went in for medical management were amazing, our hospital keeps you in until its all passed so i took ipad, snacks and dp stayed with me.

Oh OP. I’m so sorry. I had a similar experience and all I can say you never forget your loss or what could have been.

Your time will come again and it will be a the more precious.
