25 week midwife appointment

Hello

I have my 25 week midwife appointment today and am having some stupid anxiety about it. I know from the NHS website that the midwife will measure my bump today for the first time however I’m a bit clueless on how this will happen

I’m working from home today so wearing a loose dress, would it be better to change into a top to help the midwife measure it or would it happen okay with the dress?

Sorry for the clueless ftm question - the internet isn’t helping me!

Thank you Smile

You might be better with a top as the midwife will prob listen to baby's heartbeat with the Doppler so will need you to lift dress right up to put gel on your tummy/listen in. Might not measure until 28 weeks (mine didn't)

If you're wearing a dress, you'll just have to pull it up. She'll measure from under your bra to your bikini line.

She'll probably also listen to baby's heartbeat, so just wear something that's easy to get your belly out.

Good luck! Smile

Thank you both Smile

Top it is! I hope I remember to nudge her about my MATB1 form!
