Hi there. I went for an 8 week confirmatory us 13 days ago. Baby measured 6 weeks, which wasn’t a big deal because I wasn’t 💯 sure about the dates. But they also heard a low fetal heart rate, 59 bpm. I was told that I was either on my way to a miscarriage or it was taking a little time to normalize, which wasn’t unheard of at 6 weeks. I came back 11 days later & the baby hadn’t grown at all and no heart rate was detected. I was told I miscarried & I could let nature take it’s course, use cytotec to get the miscarriage started, or have a d&c (which wasn’t recommended due to possible surgery side effects). My question is, has anyone been in a similar situation, gotten a second opinion somewhere else, & wound up with a happy ending? I realize I have probably had a miscarriage, but I can’t seem to shake the thought of “What if the scan was wrong?”.
