Waxing

In 31 weeks pregnant and thinking about waxing before I have baby, I've never waxed anything apart from my eyebrows before! I usually shave down there but there are bits I can't get and think it would be a lot easier just to rip it out with wax! Has anyone any advice on diy waxing at home? How long before due date should I do it? Should I practise now and see how it does? Thanks in advance

Don’t do DIY! It’s so painful to inflict upon yourself.

I hadn’t had a wax for a few months and started back up at 30ish weeks pregnant. The pain was something else compared to non pregnant appointments but is a little easier again now. Get someone to do it for you and have a few paracetamol beforehand

I personally would 100% not wax that particular area myself. I think you will be more sensitive to pain when pregnant, plus if you can't reach to shave then I think reaching to apply wax will be no easier TBH. Go to a good salon and have it done professionally!

I’d go to the salon, but I’m not sure they will agree if it is your first wax. My beauty therapist agreed to wax me while I was pregnant ‘because I was used to it’ but warned it might be a bit more sensitive.

I recently started being waxed! First time I was 23 weeks and it KILLED.. but second time was much much better.. I’m going to have my next one at around 36/37 weeks hopefully if baby doesn’t come early!

Thank you! Think I best book in with a salon then and see if they will do it for me!
