I am 22 years old. I have no childern at the moment. My boyfriend and I have been together for three month. I found out I was pregnant 2 weeks ago. I told my boyfriend and his first react is that he do not want the baby. He says he is not mentally and physically ready for a new born. He already has 3 childern and this would be my first baby. I have expressed to him I want to keep our baby because I do not believe in abortions. He is very adamant and has his mind made up that he do not want any part to do with our baby. I have been thinking of being a single mother but I am scared because I never did this before and baby need it's mother and father present. What should I do?

Hi sbaby. I think the best thing to do is give him time he may change his mind especially after you go for your first scan. If he doesn't and you do want to keep the child then you may have to tell him that you will do it on your own. I grew up without my father being in my life much and I don't think it matters if a parent is absent. Yes it may lead to dc asking about their father but as long as they feel loved by others around them such as you and grandparents the child will be fine.

Sounds like you might be better off doing it on your own. End of the day you got to do what is right for you. And he can either like it or lump it.
