Hi Ladies!
Got a positive test last week on clear blue digi (1-2 weeks) booked in with my doctor on Monday morning. Expected him to test me but just referred me to a midwife. Tested again with clear blue ( 2-3 weeks) had no spotting, missed my period by a week. I’m dating at 5+1 from my last period. Very tired last week, a little bit dizzy and headachy and very mild cramps but I’m starting to feel more myself again with a bit more energy. Finding it IMPOSSIBLE not to worry about every possible negetive outcome and I really just want to enjoy being pregnant as I’m going on holiday tomorrow too. Is it normal to feel absolutley fine also? First pregnancy so I just don’t know what to expect and my DR wouldn’t answer any of my questions. Help?! Xx

Congratulations!

Clear blue measures from date of conception, so it looks like that ties up with your last period :)

The midwife will be able to answer more detailed questions for you. For the time being: enjoy your holiday, get plenty of rest and don’t drink/smoke/do drugs :)

If ‘morning’ sickness arrives while you’re away (can happen any time of day and be sickness or just FEELING sick) then try to eat salty savoury things. Crisps and salty chips were my saviour :)

Thank you! Just worrying because I felt very tired the last 2 weeks ( my job is also very hectic) and then suddenly the last couple of days I have a burst of energy. I guess I have nothing else that would cause me to worry but it’s hard not to isn’t it!

Try not worry too much. I have good and bad days and like you, you worry about what's going on. Trust your body and your instincts. Xxx

I completely understand how you feel. This is my first happy pregnancy (termination when I was younger as my bf at the time was a massive dick! - we live and learn) I'm 26 and am only 8+4 I am so worried about everything that might and could go wrong, I really want to enjoy but have been so drained it's unreal, start my new job on Monday and although the first week is induction and I'll only be doing three days a week they're three long 13 hour days and I have no idea how I'm actually going to cope. Have been reading up just now on the scans and what's being looked for and the potential bad outcomes etc.. can't wait to get the 12 week scan out the way so I know if things are going so far so good!
Have a great holiday, hope you manage to relax and not worry x

First trimester I remember... Extreme exhaustion, nausea, vomiting, abdomen pain (like a stabbing sometimes), weeing very often... Worried about every thing at the time but the NHS website often put my mind at ease :-)
Congratulations on your baby!

Ps, as far as I'm concerned the first trimester is the hardest by a million miles but it varies for everyone! It gets easier!!!
